Some husbands buy their wives satin and lace, but hunters' wives wear lovely nighties like this. Eric got home from his elk hunt with the Vaterlaus's yesterday and was quite excited to give Eva and I our new prizes and show us photos of his week's adventure. She loved pointing at my back and saying, "ewlk." I thought these guys must be crazy to live out in the cold for a week with no hot showers or bathrooms, but after learning about the Vaterlaus extravaganza I can see why they have so much fun.
They slept in cozy tents with wood burning stoves
and ate cowboy grub.

Cute outfit! The one thing I know about those Vaterlauses is they definitely take their hunting seriously! :) Looks like fun... to some people! (I hope you enjoyed your heat and running water while he was gone!)
